The symbol of Aizuwakamatsu City, the Tsuruga castle tower, celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2015 with reconstruction.
Tsuruga Castle became a battlefield in the Boshin War, and the castle tower was demolished in 1874, but it was rebuilt in September 1965 after the request of citizens after the war.
The Tsuruga castle hall is located at the entrance of the Tsuruga castle, and actively sends information for enjoying Aizu to those who are interested in Aizu as well as customers who have actually been toured. We went, and it was chosen by travel newspaper Shinsha sponsored "100 selections of national souvenir facilities selected by professionals".
We touch the folk art representing Aizu, experience it, give a taste to local cuisine, and stock the best confections in Fukushima prefecture as a souvenir.
